Ian Schleifer is a computer programmer at the Ashton Graybiel Spatial Orientation Laboratory.  He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Ithaca College in 2002.  He intends finally to pursue a higher degree in the near future – most likely a Master of Science in Computer & Electrical Engineering.

Ian’s hobbies include LARPing, singing, climbing, acting, martial arts, abstract mathematics, theoretical government, physics, reading/watching science fiction, and musical theater.  He is also very interested in artificial intelligence, spacecraft propulsion, space exploration, spelunking, aerial fabric, robotics, virtual reality, and operating systems.  To name a few.

Ian aspires to engineer control systems for manned spacecraft.  If he can really have his way, he’ll be inside those spacecraft as an explorer-astronaut.
