Thanks Alex! Yes, that is this list. For those who had trouble finding it, the full list of tasks is here: http://grokproject.net/the-plan-and-progress-so-far/. I'll post it again in my next post and I'll try to make it more obvious.

I'll be posting about how I'm starting out on the paleolithic diet tomorrow. Please feel free to comment on that if you have some pointers. For the stone tools, I have made arrangements with an expert, so I think I'll be all set on that.

I will definitely contact you about some of these. Thanks a lot! :-)

So, first of all, I really could have done with a more explicit link to your list. That said, I dug around a bit and found what appears to probably be your list. Here are things I could probably help you with in at least a general sort of way (I'm not all that experienced myself).

* Paleolithic Era
o Activity: Paleolithic diet (1 week)
o Make: Struck stone tools (handaxe, scraper, spear, etc…) [I've gotten the briefest of introductions to pressure-knapping glass]
o Build: Wooden hut (and sleep in it) [how about if we start with a debris shelter?]
o Make: Woven basket [I know the theory, anyway.]
o Activity: Start a fire [I've done bow-drilling before, but only once. I have built a couple bow-drill kits as well.]
o Activity: Gather food [I know a few basics.]
o Activity: Make clothing from animal skin? [I've skinned a couple couple animals, but haven't cured a hide yet.]
o Make: Twisted rope? [*this* I rock]
* 4th Millenium BCE
o Activity: Gather medicinal plants [I'm useless at this, but I know someone who would be more useful. Also, I sincerely hope that you don't think this went on in the Paleolithic era.]
* 9th Century CE
o Make: Black powder [I know people who could help you]
o Activity: Block printing [not much to it, but sure...]
* 1850s
o Read: The Origin of Species [I've been wanting to get a reading group together for this. The first four chapters are hot shit.]
* 1870s
o Activity: Firing range [again with knowing people who could help]
* 1910s
o Activity: Orienteering [haven't done it, but really want to learn]
* 1990s
o Activity: Examine data about global warming and anthropogenic greenhouse effect [I can help you track articles down]
o Build: Water purifier [Another one I haven't done but that has been on my list for a while. One question to ask is what constitutes a water purifier. There's a massive range of levels of acceptable purity for water depending on where you're getting it and what you're using it for...]
